Who we are. ALHA Mobility operates ALHA GO, an introduction service connecting customers with vehicle rental companies in London. ICO registration number: [to be added].

What we collect

Messaging a company on WhatsApp: your name, and a social media handle if you choose to give one. That is all. We do not ask for or store your phone number — your message goes from your WhatsApp to theirs.

Filling in the enquiry form: your name and mobile number, plus optionally your email address, the dates and area you need, and a social media handle.

In both cases we log the IP address the request came from, to prevent abuse. If you search by postcode, that postcode is sent to a UK postcode lookup service to work out distances; we do not store it.

We do not collect or store driving licences, passports, or any identity documents. We never ask for your age, licence details, or how long you have been driving. Those checks are carried out by the rental company, not by us.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

There are two ways to contact a rental company through ALHA GO, and they work differently.

If you message on WhatsApp. You give us a name and, optionally, a social media handle. We do not send anything — your own WhatsApp opens with a message you can read, change or discard, and nothing reaches the company until you press send. We keep a record that the introduction happened, so we can show a company we sent them a customer. We never receive or store your phone number — it reaches the company through WhatsApp itself. Our lawful basis here is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): running an introduction service and being able to evidence the introductions we make.

If you fill in the enquiry form. We pass your details to rental companies whose vehicles match what you asked for, so they can contact you directly. Our lawful basis there is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box on that form, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who receives it

London vehicle rental companies listed on ALHA GO that match your enquiry. Once your details reach a rental company, that company is a separate data controller and its own privacy policy applies to what it does next.

If you supply a social media handle, we pass it on exactly as you typed it. We do not check that it is genuine, that it belongs to you, or that it is accurate, and we make no representation about it.

If you write a review

You can review a rental company after you have contacted one through ALHA GO. We collect your first name, which is shown publicly with your review, and your email address, which is never shown and never passed to the rental company. We hold the email so we can contact you if someone challenges what you wrote, which we are required to be able to do as the operator of a site carrying reviews.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): running a review service that other customers can rely on, and being able to deal with complaints about what is published. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are automatically deleted 90 days after they are submitted. Abuse-prevention logs are deleted after 7 days.

Reviews are different. A published review, and the name and email of whoever wrote it, are kept for as long as the review is on the site — a review that vanished after 90 days would be no use to anyone reading it, and we would be unable to answer a complaint about it. When the enquiry behind a review is deleted at 90 days, the review stays but is detached from it. Ask us and we will take your review down.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect enquiries already passed to a company.

Cookies

We use three essential cookies and nothing else. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track your browsing.

• One remembers that you accepted our Terms, so you are only asked once. It stores nothing about you beyond the fact that you accepted, and lasts a year. Clearing your browser data removes it and you will be asked again.
• One keeps rental company accounts signed in.
• One remembers which vehicle you last enquired about, so that after your hire we can offer you the rating forms for that car and that company. It holds a reference number for your enquiry, lasts 90 days to match how long we keep the enquiry itself, and is set only when you message a company. Clearing your browser data removes it.
